I'm mostly completely sure. I did a few family tree projects over the years at school, Trucy. And there's one name that sticks out to me from what I learned in those assignments.

[He pauses for dramatic effect.]

You see... part of my family hails from Japan. ...A part with the name "Naruhodou".

[ Trucy just sort of stares at him for a moment, before her eyes widen as it clicks together. When she'd first met Ryuu, they'd arrived together on the same day, and she'd honestly thought that from certain angles he looked like her father. But she hadn't really put two and two together because she'd thought it wasn't possible.

The magician claps her hands together and smiles brightly, clearly excited at this revelation. ]

Wow, daddy, that's really cool! So Mr. Naruhodou is your grandpa? Um, well, your great something grandpa, I'd assume? Hey, that means your family was friends with Sherlock Holmes then, too, since they seem to be pretty close!

I think it's 'great great'. ...Pretty great, huh? [He laughs as he rubs at his head.] There's a slight chance that it might be a big coincidence, but everything seems to be line up!

I guess that does make Sherlock Holmes technically family too... [Words I never thought I'd genuinely say.]

That is great! He's so nice and smart, it makes sense that he's related to you! Can I call him grandpa now?!

[ She's probably going to do it anywqys... ]

Can I call Mr. Holmes grandpa, too!?

You can call anyone anything you want, Trucy. [He says in permission-giving tone. ...Before quickly segueing into nervous again.]

B-but maybe not yet! Because, that's the thing. I haven't exactly... told him yet.

...Really?! Thanks, daddy! [ This was a big mistake, Phoenix, one you'll be seeing in the future. Still, she blinks for now, tilting her head, before looking determined. ]

Well, we should go tell him then!

B-but that's not exactly something you can just spring on someone out of the blue! ... Is it?

Sure it is! We can throw him a surprise party! Because when he finds out you're his grandson, he's sure gonna be surprised! If I know Mr. Naruhodou as well as I think I do, he'll be really confused and possibly flustered... it's kind of like those talk shows that do the paternity tests.

[ She shifts, trying to find the best way to describe it.] You know, the ones that the dads are always saying the baby isn't theirs but them the test comes back all, "you ARE the father!" and the guy goes running off stage. Except there's no where for Mr. Naruhodou to run!

[ This is the kind of crap she watches on the weekends at home, okay. ]

I don't know if it would hurt history or not, I mean we don't know who your grandma would be, right?

I- I know exactly the ones in question... [Why is the lack of an escape route a priority?!] ...but you think maybe it should be a little more, you know, low-key?

...But I guess you're right. I can't recall what Great Great Gammy's name was.

See? No harm done. Besides, maybe when we leave this place, we lose our memories too? Even if we don't... don't you think people would think he was crazy for talking about being on a floating island in a different world?

You make some good points! Maybe it really is alright to tell him.

But... It has been a few weeks now since I met him. ...Do you think that he would be upset that I didn't tell him sooner?

No, I don't think so. Grandpa's not like that, you know? He's a very sweet man. I'm sure he'll be understanding! Maybe a little unnerved at first, but understanding.
