I'll be in Shaarnath for a week with Riku and Roxas for vacation! I think Maya was saying she wanted to see Shaarnath too, if you guys end up coming down, let me know okay? We'll hang out!

Because when I get back I'll be going on an exploration venture with my friends Kor and Caius and I'll be gone for a another whole week so I won't be in town for a while.

Thanks for letting me know. I've never been to Shaarnath, and I'm positive Maya hasn't either. So we'll both definitely be there! I'm glad to hear you guys are giving yourself a vacation, you deserve it! Just let me know the day and time, and Maya and I will be there. Maybe we'll bring the dogs, too -- did I tell you? We got another puppy!

[On Some Day...

Phoenix has been slowly but surely adjusting to life in Verens. There's still one thing that nags on his mind that doesn't necessarily have to do with this world. It remains on his mind when he calls out for Trucy from the living room, at some point when they're both around the house.]

Hey Trucy! Did you remember to clean out your message box?

[ Trucy blinks, before making her appearance, rounding the corner to peer curiously at her father. This is probably one of the most random questions he's asked her in a good while. But there's always a method to his madness, and so she nods. ]

Yeah, why? What's up?

That's good to hear. You're really on top of things! [He says with a nervous laugh.]

But there's something unrelated I've been meaning to talk to you about.

[ The last time Red had seen Trucy was in the park as well, and who knew how long that was other than too long. But Red feels a small amount of surprise first that turns into a genuine happiness on seeing her than anything like regret, three cute pink blobs bouncing away behind him but following him as they please (watch out, they look tough!!), coming off from the path and to the grass as he calls out with a hand raising. ]

Trucy! Hi! Long time no see! [ Already, he's searching around for that dog of hers. That bundle of joy was why she was out here, right? ] Do you have company today?

[ Vegaaas, where areee yooou. ]

[ Trucy's watching Vegas and the newest edition, a slightly older redheaded retriever she's dubbed Sprinkles, run through the park. They're great off leash so long as they're together, which she's grateful for. Hearing her name being called, she quickly turns her attention to... oh, it's Red! And what the heck are those adorable little blobs?! He looks like a mother hen leading his little blobby chicks around, and it's adorable! ]

Hi, Red! How are you? [ She smiles, shaking her head. ] I don't! Just the dogs-- Vegas, Sprinkles, come here!

[ Both dogs stop running, because they can hear their names being called... and of course, there's Red. Vegas is bigger than before, he's growing of course, and Sprinkles is only slightly larger than him. Both dogs bound over, slowing down just enough so they won't knock Red over when they jump up to greet him. She grins as the two dogs whine and happily lick at Red's arms and hands. ]

Haha, Vegas missed you! Oh, this is Sprinkles. Mr. Gavin went home, so I took his dog in!

[ As if it hadn't been so long, Red's remembering just how much of an energetic presence Vegas has, greeting him and his new companion with laughs and "hey!"s while leaning his body to kneel on one leg closer to their heights, just as the three blobs behind him have taken a bounce back. Ohhh no, they know what dogs can be like! With one looking ready to start something, one wary, and the other worried.

He looks up, rubbing his hand off one of the dog's head as he brings his attention to Trucy. ]

Mr. Gavin, was that a friend? A next door neighbour?

[ If she's mentioned him before, Red can't remember the name. ]

[It's been a rough couple of days, and so Maya has done her best to avoid seeing anyone in the house -- even Charley. Now that everything is said and done and over, she's finally mustered up the courage to face at least one of her fellow housemates. It's late, and the house itself is dark save for the dim light shining in Maya's room. She's pretty sure that Nick is already asleep, but she tiptoes just in case.

Maya raises a hand to knock on Trucy's door but hesitates, still unsure if she was ready. What is she supposed to say? She doesn't even know. Still, her knuckles tap gently on the door anyways.]

Trucy, are you awake?

[ Trucy has noticed how uncharacteristically quiet Maya's been, but she hasn't wanted to pressure the poor woman into telling her what's wrong. So instead she's offered quiet smiles and offerings of cookies and milk outside her bedroom door instead. She knows that when the time is right, she'll talk about whatever's on her mind.

When she hears the quiet knock, she blinks and looks up from the little black book of tricks she's inherited and at the door. ]

Yep! Come on in, Maya!

[The door opens a crack while Maya falters a bit, unsure of herself, but she finally pushes it open after taking as deep a breath as she could to calm her nerves. The moment she sees Trucy though, she can't help but smile. So she steps inside and quietly closes the door behind her.]

I hope I'm not bothering you.

[She walks across the room and takes a seat at the edge of Trucy's bed, her fingers already fidgeting with her crystal.]

It’s wrapped in a light blue paper covered in different coloured diamond shapes, with a red ribbon tied around it. The wrapping job isn’t the neatest but she did make an effort. On top of the box and tucked safely beneath the ribbon is a folded piece of paper with a note.]

I’m sorry that I am not here to celebrate Christmas morning with you. I hope you’ll forgive me.
